I also use natural light where possible for my wedding images shooting in RAW camera format which creates large, uncompressed files of maximum quality.
Once the images on the wedding day have been taken the work really begins. It might only take a fraction of a second to take an image but it can take up to 20 minutes to process one. I look at each image individually and process for colour, sharpness, white balance, cropping etc.
I then review the whole series of photos and pick out the best to work on. By this I mean touching up and looking to artistic stylising options that might be appropriate eg. Black and White conversion, vignetting, selective colour/black and white, blurring. The list is endless but the amount of stylising also depends on the personal taste of the client. I tend not to over process to the point where the image looks fake.
Once all of the images are finalised then they are presented in High Res to the client on DVD. I do recommend professional printing for the wedding album which is why I include some in the cost. I find that the professional printers use better paper, better equipment and generally take more care, but they should as it far more expensive than the local photo shop.
