Woods point is pretty much a one road town at the base of the Victorian Alps and a long drive along dirt roads to get to. Gold was the reason for coming here in the first place. It is well worth the drive as the town has a quiet charm about it with some historic buildings, crisp air and the Goulbourn River flowing through. This service station is still in action and acts as the only place to fill up 60kms either side of the town.
